“Super-Stik” is a mineral fiber thermal insulating cement. It is composed of high temperature fiber pellets, blended in dry form with heat resistant binders and corrosion inhibitors. With the addition of water, a highly plastic insulating cement is formed, suitable for a wide variety of surfaces operating up to 1900ºF. This unique insulating material offers high thermal performance, out-standing wet ancell namery adhesion and excellent coverage.
This information is accurate and reliable to the best of our knowledge and will vary with manufacturing and testing tolerances. Uses
Super-Stik is designed for practically any form of heated equipment. It is used as a complete insulation system on flat or irregular surfaces and as a patching or repair material in general insulation and maintenance work. “Super-Stik” is highly compatible with mineral fiber block and is commonly used as a leveling material over block installations.
Applications
“Super-Stik” is applied by trowel or hancell nameirectly to the surface to be insulated. The initial coat should be 1/2″ to 1″ in thickness. Once dried, additional layers may be applied to achieve the desired thickness. When insulating over large surface areas or when applying more than one layer, it is recommended that metal reinforcement, suitably fastened, be used. In many instances, “Super-Stik” may be used in patch and repair work whilcell namequipment is in operation. Weatherproofing is needed for outdoor applications.
