Maxfire CMS-256 Board (1800ºF Biosoluble Calcia/Magnesia Silicate Vacuum Formed Insulation Board)

Maxfire CMS-256 board is a, rigid, self-supporting Calcia/Magnesia Silicate fiber insulation board rated for continuous use up to 1800ºF. It provides stability and resistance to chemical attack, and is unaffected by incidental contact with oil or water. Exceptions include hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid and strong alkalies (i.e. NaOH & KOH). CMS-256 is inorganic (meaning no smoking on initial heat-up) and is ideal for hot face furnace linings, backup insulation, and trough linings for non-ferrous metals. CMS-256 is ceramic fiber free and is thereforcell namexonerated from any carcinogenicell namelassification due to the material’s enhanced solubility in bodily fluids.

Maxfire CMS-256 Boards offer an excellent alternative for molten aluminum contact applications. The board is also well suited for furnace, kiln, and oven hot face linings, flue and chimney linings, and appliance and heat processing insulation It is also ideal as backup insulation to firebrick, insulating firebrick, refractory castables, and rammed shapes.
