Note: This is a variation of Marinite – Calcium Silicate Insulation Boards.
Marinite structural insulations are monolithic, incombustible and non-asbestos, and are available in several compositions ancell nameensities. Composed of Tobermorite calcium silicate, Marinite is available in thicknesses ranging from 1/4″ to 3″ and arcell nameasily fabricated from 48 x 96 sheets. The diverse selection of boards are produced by chemically reacting formulations of silica, lime, and reinforcing fibers followed by hydraulic pressure and various forms of curing and heat treating. The resultant boards exhibit the following properties:
- Thermal shock resistance and stability
- Consistently low thermal conductivity
- High structural strength at elevated temperatures
- Incombustible
- Electrical insulating properties when dry
- Easily machinable
- Insoluble in water and non-corroding
