Dry-Cote is a nonionic, aqueous emulsion based on a reactive silicone fluid. It contains 60% active ingredients. It is used as a mold release agent in the metalworking industry, as well as in the rubber and plastic industries. Dry-Cotcell namenhances the water repellent characteristics of particulate and porous materials such as calcium silicate, cement composite boards, perlite, and vermiculite.
The Dry-Cote properties listed represent typical average values obtained in accordance with accepted test methods and are subject to normal manufacturing variations. Features
- Easily diluted; its stability will not be affected. It may be diluted up to a concentration of 1 part Dry-Cotcell namemulsion to 200 parts water.
- Excellent stability in either concentrated or diluted form.
- Remarkable efficacy as a mold release agent; due to its fine particles, it leaves a thin, uniform film which inhibits any adherence after the evaporation of residual water. Demolded parts are left unblemished with an extremely smooth surface finish. Do not exceed 1:200 dilution.
- Excellent waterproofing ability. For porous materials (i.e. Calcium Silicate), add 1 part Dry-Cote to 12 parts water. Mix thoroughly. Apply with a sprayer, roller, or other suitable device, taking care to completely coat the entire surface including edges.
